Welcome to the Decimal & Fraction Maze demo! Designed for ages 8 to 15 and adult education, Decimal & Fraction Maze combines the fun of solving mazes with the challenge of math. Exercises include writing, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, comparing, and rounding decimals; converting decimals to fractions; and reducing and comparing fractions (proper and improper) and mixed numbers.
To Start…
• Press the “RUN DEMO” button on the main “ Decimal & Fraction Maze Demo” screen. Two additional information screens will appear.
• At the Decimal & Fraction Maze welcome screen, select a student name or choose “New Student” to add your own name.
• On the following screen, choose the difficulty of the reading problems by selecting one of the 6 levels within the Demo Curriculum.
To Play…
Solve the maze in the garden by leading the small mouse through the gateways back home to the house.
• To move the small mouse…click and hold the cursor in front of the small mouse and it will squeak its way toward your cursor.
• To see a math problem…lead the small mouse through a gateway (yellow, blue or gray lines) where you must correctly answer two or more math problems to continue.
• To answer the problem…click on the numbers and operators in the “Number Bar” on the screen, or use the keyboard.
• Select the “Change Problem Level” or “Change Maze” menu options to change the difficulty of the problems or the complexity of the maze.
